Basic Charms and Spells

Welcome to Basic Charms and Spells, I am Prof. Takumi Shinoda and I will be your Professor for this class for Fall Term 2008. This class is offered for first to third year students. Since most of the students in this year levels are just starting to be familiar with the Wizarding world, this course will help these students to be informed about the basic charms and spells that they should learn first. At the same time, they may be able to apply it in their daily routines, if needed.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

· To introduce students to the use of charms and spells that may help them in the wizarding world. This charms and spells will also be used in their other classes.

· To introduce students how to use their wands properly and with caution.

 · To orient students to the range charms and spells they are allowed to practice in their year level.

· To provide students with opportunities to develop basic use of charms and spells.

Please read announcements at the site forum for changes in the syllabus in the future, if there is any.

ROLEPLAY:

Students are required to role play about the lesson, at least 1 post per charm that will be practiced. Good grammar in role playing is expected to be practiced. Students are not allowed to role play out of the topic discussions. Role plays in each lesson must only focus on the lesson. Students will be deducted points if they fail to follow this rule and for ignoring warnings.

FINAL EXAM:

The final exam will be given before the end of the term. Students must be able to pm their final exam on the given date. Late submission is equivalent to troll, I will not be able to accept this, since we all have deadlines to make. A student will be given enough time to comply with this requirement.

YOUR IDEAS, EVALUATIONS, ETC. :

In general, your ideas, comments, suggestions, questions, grade challenges, etc. are welcome. Your discretion in these matters is expected, however. No part of your grade will be based on anything other than your Role play, and your final exam. You are encouraged to take advantage of Professor's online hours for help with classwork or anything else connected with the class and your progress.
